Prefer Refer is an online system that stores customer, staff and financial information about your company as provided or entered by that company. Prefer Refer will store information that is entered by you, or automatically imported. The data entered, or imported, by you remains your property and Prefer Refer will not use nor make available for use any of this information for any purpose other than delivering the service provided by Prefer Refer, without your permission.
The data entered, or imported, by you is stored securely in a database and is only accessible to people whom you have authorized access, and Prefer Refer support staff for the purposes of delivering and supporting Prefer Refer.
It is your responsibility to keep your password safe. Prefer Refer staff, and Prefer Refer’s partners do not have access to your password and will never ask for your password.
At your request, Prefer Refer can permanently delete your account data, including all historic backups which may be stored in various locations around the world. This request must be made in writing by the account owner.
Prefer Refer’s servers are secured by SSL Certificates issued by StartSSL, so all data transferred between users and Prefer Refer is encrypted, including data transferred to iPhone® and iPad® devices.
Prefer Refer stores your data in multiple locations around the world; including the United States, Australia, Ireland, Canada, Singapore and Tokyo. Prefer Refer in Australia administers data access and service delivery. You consent to that data being transferred from your country to any of the above listed storage locations.
Credit Card Storage
If you choose to pay for Prefer Refer by credit card, your credit card details are not stored by Prefer Refer and cannot be accessed by Prefer Refer staff. Prefer Refer uses PayPal as our payment provider, which provides you with ?exible payment options around the world.
Your Browser and Cookies
Prefer Refer utilises “cookies” and other technical measures that enable the correct functioning of Prefer Refer. Prefer Refer will not sell or otherwise provide your personal information to a third party, or make any other use of personal information about you for any purpose which is not necessary to the normal use of Prefer Refer.
Prefer Refer sends billing information, product information, newsletters and notifications to you via email.
Where appropriate email communication will contain instructions describing how you can opt to be removed from the mailing list.
System Monitoring and Usage
Prefer Refer staff will never access your data stored in the Service, except where required to do so to assist with resolution of a system issue or error.
Prefer Refer staff can access non-identifying and aggregated usage information and transaction volumes in order to better understand how our customers are using the Service so we can improve the system design and where appropriate have the system prompt users with suggestions on ways to improve their own use of the system. All aggregated usage information is stored in a secure database.
Prefer Refer reserves the right to change this policy at any time and any amended policy is effective upon the posting on this website. Prefer Refer will make every effort to communicate these changes to you via email or notification via the website.
